Regolamento
Art. 1 - Il Concorso si svolgerà a Pinerolo nei giorni dal 3 al 7 marzo 2010.
Art. 2 - L'iscrizione al Concorso sottintende l'accettazione di tutte le norme del Regolamento. Il Concorso è dedicato al Pianoforte per concorrenti nati dopo il 31/12/1975.
Art. 3 - Le iscrizioni dovranno pervenire entro il 15 febbraio 2010 presso:

Il Comitato Artistico si riserva la possibilità di accogliere domande pervenute oltre il termine sopraindicato.
Art. 4 - Il modulo di iscrizione dovrà essere accompagnato da:
- certificato di nascita o autocertificazione di nascita sostitutiva;
- tassa di iscrizione;
- curriculum sintetico (in italiano o in inglese);
- programma scelto per le diverse prove;
- fotografia;
- eventuale richiesta per l’ospitalità in famiglia.
Ove possibile si prega di utilizzare la posta elettronica come mezzo preferenziale di comunicazione.
La tassa di iscrizione è fissata nella misura di € 100,00 e potrà essere versata tramite assegno non trasferibile o vaglia postale intestato a "Accademia di Musica", oppure tramite bonifico bancario sul c/c IBAN IT04Z0848730750000140106305. Per bonifici dall’estero: SWIFT: ICRAITRRDJO.
La tassa di iscrizione NON è rimborsabile, salvo nei casi contemplati da questo Regolamento.
Si raccomanda ai concorrenti provenienti da Paesi extra Unione Europea di fare tempestiva richiesta per il visto di soggiorno.
Art. 5 - L’ordine di chiamata alle diverse prove sarà stabilito per sorteggio di lettera e seguirà poi per ordine alfabetico. Il calendario delle prove verrà comunicato a tutti i concorrenti. I concorrenti che risultassero assenti all’appello saranno esclusi dal Concorso, salvo che il ritardo sia comprovato da giustificati motivi di forza maggiore e non sia già terminata la prima prova.
Art. 6 - I candidati dovranno presentarsi muniti di documento di riconoscimento.
Art. 7 - Le esecuzioni dovranno riguardare unicamente musiche originali edite ed essere effettuate a memoria. Eventuali variazioni al programma indicato sul modulo di domanda dovranno essere comunicate prima dell’apertura delle prove. Un congruo numero di pianoforti e locali verranno messi a disposizione dei concorrenti per lo studio durante il Concorso. I pianoforti su cui verranno eseguite le finali saranno messi a disposizione dei concorrenti per le necessarie prove, con un calendario fissato dalla segreteria in base alle richieste pervenute.
Art. 8 - All’inizio di ogni prova i concorrenti dovranno presentare alla Giuria copia dell’edizione a stampa dei brani in programma.
Art. 9 - La premiazione si svolgerà domenica 7 marzo 2010 alle ore 21 presso il Teatro Sociale di Pinerolo. I vincitori vi dovranno partecipare gratuitamente, pena l’annullamento dei premi. I vincitori non avranno diritto ad alcun compenso per eventuali registrazioni audio o video che verranno effettuate durante il Concorso.
Art. 10 - La Giuria sarà così composta:

Il giudizio della Giuria è inappellabile.
Art. 11 - Il Comitato Artistico potrà in ogni momento chiamare a far parte della Giuria nuovi membri,
qualora si rendesse necessario.
Art. 12 - Non possono partecipare al Concorso concorrenti che abbiano rapporti di parentela o di affinità con un componente della Giuria. Qualora esistano rapporti didattici tra un concorrente e un membro della giuria (ovvero ne siano esistiti nei due anni precedenti) il componente della giuria si asterrà dalle votazioni. All’atto dell’insediamento, ciascun componente della Giuria rilascerà una dichiarazione sulla propria situazione personale nei confronti dei concorrenti.
Art. 13 - Programma delle prove:
Prima prova
Programma libero.
Durata della prova: minimo 15, massimo 25 minuti.
Semifinale (verranno ammessi un massimo di 12 concorrenti)
A) Uno o più studi a scelta tra quelli di Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Skrjabin, Rachmaninov, Ljapunov, Bartók, Stravinskij, Casella.
B) Una composizione di J. S. Bach o di D. Scarlatti (con esclusione delle trascrizioni).
C) Un tempo di sonata scelto tra quelle composte da Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven.
D) Una o più composizioni a scelta tra quelle significative di Weber, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Franck, Musorgskij.
Durata della prova: minimo 35, massimo 45 minuti.
Finale (verranno ammessi un massimo di 5 concorrenti)
A) Una sonata di Beethoven (con esclusione delle op. 49 e 79).
B) Una o più composizioni a scelta tra quelle significative di Weber, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Franck, Musorgskij.
C) Una composizione scritta dal 1900.
Durata della prova: minimo 50, massimo 70 minuti.
In nessuna delle prove potrà essere ripetuta una composizione eseguita in precedenza.
Premio del Pubblico
I finalisti sono tenuti, all’atto dell’iscrizione, a indicare un brano della durata di minimo 10, massimo 15 minuti, da eseguire la sera del 7 marzo 2010 alle ore 21.00 presso il Teatro Sociale per l’assegnazione del Premio del Pubblico (può essere ripetuta una composizione eseguita in precedenza).
VALUTAZIONE
Alle deliberazioni della Giuria partecipa, senza diritto di voto, il Direttore artistico. Per la prima prova e per la semifinale, ogni giurato esprimerà uno dei seguenti tre giudizi: ammesso, non ammesso, eventuale. Nel caso in cui sia necessario, la valutazione “eventuale” sarà successivamente discussa. Per la finale, ogni giurato stabilirà una propria graduatoria che non determinerà l’attribuzione automatica del 1º, 2º o 3º premio, giudizio sul quale la Giuria, sentito il parere del Direttore artistico, si riserva di decidere. Non è ammessa l’assegnazione di ex-aequo per il primo premio.
Art. 14 - Eventuali premi ex-aequo si suddivideranno il montepremi. L’assegnazione dei concerti verrà stabilita dal Comitato Artistico. Per i concerti i vincitori riceveranno un rimborso spese da concordarsi con l’Associazione organizzatrice il concerto.
Art. 15 - Il Comitato Artistico si riserva la facoltà di annullare il Concorso qualora intervengano motivi di comprovata forza maggiore. In questo caso verranno immediatamente restituite le quote di iscrizione già versate.
Art. 16 - Per quanto non contemplato dal presente regolamento, il Comitato Artistico avoca a s´ ogni competenza.
Art. 17 - In caso di contestazione unico testo legittimamente valido verrà ritenuta l’edizione a stampa del bando di concorso in lingua italiana. Per ogni controversia sarà ritenuto competente il Foro di Pinerolo.
Rules
Art. 1 - The Contest will take place in Pinerolo from 3rd to 7th March 2010.
Art. 2 - By completing the Contest entry form, participants agree to accept all the conditions of the Contest. The Competition is dedicated to the Piano for candidates born after 31/12/75.

Any entries received after this time will be examined by the Artistic Committee.
The organizers have arranged accommodation for contestants with families in Pinerolo; twenty bed-sits will be available and will be allocated according to the order of arrival of the entry forms. Accommodation is provided solely to meet the needs of contestants during the competition, and may not extend beyond the evening before the first round of the competition or the morning following the final round.
Art. 4 - The application form must be accompanied by:
- birth-certificate or replacement personal birth declaration;
- entry fee;
- brief curriculum vitae (in Italian or in English);
- the program selected for the different rounds of the competition;
- photograph;
- eventual request for family accommodation.
Where possible, entrants are asked to use e-mail as the preferred means of communication.
The entry fee, to be paid with a non-transferable check or postal order made payable to "Accademia di Musica", or else by bank draft to current account c/c IBAN IT04Z0848730750000140106305 (for credit transfer from foreign countries: SWIFT: ICRAITRRDJO), is € 100,00.
The entry fee IS NOT refundable, except for the cases written in these Rules.
Contestants coming from non-EU countries are advised to apply for a visa as soon as possible.
Art. 5 - The order of appearance for the different rounds shall be determined by drawing a letter at random and then proceeding in alphabetical order. The contest schedule will be sent to all contestants. Any contestants absent when the roll-call is made will be excluded from the contest, except in the case where the late arrival is the result of "force majeure", and provided the first round has not already been completed.
Art. 6 - Contestants must be in the possession of an identification card.
Art. 7 - The musical piece performed must be published original pieces. Any changes to the program indicated on the application form must be reported before the start of the round. A sufficient number of pianos will be made available to contestants in order to practice during the Competition. The pianos on which the final pieces will be performed will be available to contestants for practice, with a schedule fixed by the Secretariat based on requests.
Art. 8 - At the start of each recital contestants must provide the Jury with a published copy of the pieces they intend to perform.
Art. 9 - The prize-giving ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 7th 2010 at 9.00 p.m. at the Teatro Sociale in Pinerolo. The winners must participate without payment, at the risk of loosing their prize. The winners will have no rights to payment for any radio or television recordings which may be made during the Competition.

The Jury decision is final.
Art. 11 - The Artistic Committee may at any time nominate new members to join the Jury.
Art. 12 - Contestants who are related to or who have close ties with any of the Jury members may not take part in the Competition. If contestants have an on-going teaching relationships with a Jury member (or have had in the two years prior to the competition) the Jury member will abstain from voting. When the Jury is sworn in, each member will present a declaration stating his/her personal relations with the contestants.
Art. 13 - Auditions Program:
First round
Free program.
Duration: min. 15 minutes, max. 25 minutes.
Semi-final (max. 12 contestants will be admitted)
A) One or more studies selected from the works of Chopin, Liszt, Debussy, Skriabin, Ljapunov, Rachmaninov, Bartók, Stravinsky and Casella.
B) A composition by J. S. Bach or D. Scarlatti (transcriptions excepted).
C) A sonata movement selected from those composed by Haydn, Mozart or Beethoven.
D) One or more compositions selected from the main works of Weber, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Franck, Musorgskij.
Duration: min. 35 minutes, max. 45 minutes.
Final audition (max. 5 contestants will be admitted)
A) A Beethoven sonata (excluding op. 49 and op. 79).
B) One or more compositions selected from the main works of Weber, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, Schumann, Liszt, Brahms, Franck, Musorgskij.
C) A composition written from 1900.
Duration: min. 50 minutes, max. 70 minutes.
A composition already played during the preliminary rounds may not be repeated in the final round.
Audience Prize
The finalists must indicate, when inscription to the Competition is sent, a piece of min. 10, max. 15 minutes that must be played in the evening of March 7th 2010 at 9 p.m. in Teatro Sociale, for awarding of the Audience Prize (a composition already played during the rounds can be repeated).
EVALUATION
The Artistic Director will take part in the deliberations of the Jury, but without a vote. For the first round and the semifinal round, each member of the Jury will express one of these following judgments: admitted, not admitted, eventual. In case of need, the evaluation “eventual” will be subsequently discussed. For the final round, each member of the Jury establishes a personal graded list that does not represent the automatic awarding of 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes, which the Jury, after listening the opinion of the Artistic Director, will decide. The first prize cannot be shared.
Art. 14 - In case of a shared prize, money will be divided among the winners. The prize concerts will be established by the Artistic Committee. For the prize concerts, winners will have their expenses paid, to be agreed with the Association organising the concert.
Art. 15 - The Artistic Committee reserves the right to cancel a Section of the Contest when there is a proven case of “force majeure”. In this event any entry fees already paid will be immediately refunded.
Art. 16 - For anything not included in these rules the Artistic Committee holds sole authority.
Art. 17 - In case of doubts only the printed Italian version of the Contest conditions will prevail. The Court of Justice of Pinerolo will be the competent court for any legal claims.
